2. Our approach

Retire Destinations is a privacy-respecting editorial site. We currently use only a minimal set of strictly necessary storage entries. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, behavioural profiling pixels, or cross-site fingerprinting scripts on this Site.

Our hosting provider may set short-lived technical cookies for security, abuse prevention and load balancing. These are also classified as strictly necessary and contain no personal identifiers beyond your IP address.

4. Categories explained

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to work. These do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive and UK PECR because you have actively requested the service they support.
  • Analytics — currently not used. If we add aggregate privacy-respecting analytics in the future (for example a self-hosted tool without cross-site tracking), this Policy will be updated and we will ask for your consent in advance.
  • Marketing / advertising — not used. We do not run ad cookies or remarketing pixels.

Because we currently use only strictly necessary cookies, there are no optional cookies to disable on this Site. You can still:
